The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of roasted malt as well as light notes of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of very hard roasted malt as well as coffee, leading to a dry roasted finish. Sweet and solidly malty with soilym somewhat syrupy mouthfeel,. Flavour is coffee, licorice, tobacco, coffee, coffee, coffee and coffee. Nothing fancy, just an old school Baltic Porter flavour. What a surprise! yespr (7788), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 17, 2007 CBF07 sample from tap. Pours black/deep brown, some light brown head. Aroma is dark roasted malt and coffee. No citric notes. Flavour is really dark coffee, neither bitter nor hoppy at first. Slight bitter in the finish but this is mostly from the coffee rather than the hops. joergen (6821), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 19, 2007 Draught.
