UPDATED: MAY 23, 2004 Bottled: Dark amber with a decent head. Aroma is vague but some hints of cocoa. The flavour is a little better with a smooth cocoa flavour. Some malt accents are present. Not much going on in the aftertaste.

Dark copper colour with nice head. Not much going on in the aroma. Some caramel and some fried onions perhaps. Something gassy as well. The flavour is both sweet and bitter with sour notes in the finish. Not very full bodied. I thought that my vote in the Carlsberg Beer Election 2003 should go to this beer, but now I'm not sure.

A strong taste of liquorice and caramel at the same time. An above average beer - probably one you learn to like more and more after each one you have

Ok appearance. golden-brown-red, and lightbrown head. But the smell and taste: Like fried onions!

Beautiful dark amber color. Very small head. Fresh flavor with hints of sweetness. Taste is bitter yet sweet. I like it.

Nice reddish dark appearance. Dark head. Pretty bitter and a little sweet. A strange combination. Sirups and caramel dominate together with malts and hops. This makes this beer a little unique and pretty interesting.

Dark red, a bit weak head. Rather malty and sweet, but well balanced with the hops. Not as full bodied as Carlsberg states it is... Carlsberg is too afraid of brewing beer that can offend anybody.

Amber coloured. Starts off bitter, then sweet and slightly malty, finishing bitter. Usually I like bitter beers but the bitterness in this strange beer is not very pleasant. On the bottle label it says smooth and full-bodied. Not thrue. This beer is unpleasant and light-bodied.

Beautiful dark red colour, decent head. Malty aroma with caramel, smoky notes and perhaps "farin" (brown sugar). Flavour is initially sweet but this is followed by a nice bitter finish. Somewhat unusual beer but not bad at all.

A dark red beer with a small head. The aroma is malty sweet with smoked notes. The flavor is slightly smoked with a lot of sweetness - but it turns a bit watery in the middle, to end on a nice bitterness.
