Commercial Description:
Carls Lager has a clear red-golden colour, and is brewed with münchenermalt by bayerish tradition since 1847. Münchenermalt is roasted by higher temperature, which gives it a darker colour than regular malt. Carls Lager’s aroma indicates fine fruity and caramellish notes. In the mouth it is characterized by having a good body and low carbonation, which underlines the soft impression of the taste.

Bottle: Almost no head. A regular dunkel, with a aroma much like a eurolager. The taste is more fruity, and the malt can be recognized too. The aftertaste has vague notes from both fruit and caramel, but the caramel is almost invisible. There are not much hops to talk about, and the aftertaste dissapears very quickly.

Dark brown with a little red hew. Malty aroma and taste. Almost watery texture. Slight hoppy bitterness. I like this better than their pilsner because of the maltyness. OK

Carls Lager. 330 ml brown bottle. Dark red-brown colour. Clear. Medium-sized light beige head, that quickly fades away. Vinous and alcoholic aroma. Quiet and watery mouthfeel. Slightly smoked and roasted taste. Otherwise it doesn’t taste of much. Not a very interesting beer.

Bottle. Clear, dark brown colour. Small light brown head. Slightly more malty than a pils. A bit thin, but I guess there is a tiny hint of roasted malt.
