DBF 2005, bottled. Black, thin white head and low condition. Nil aroma, soft in the mouth with a touch of roasted barley bitterness that briefly lingers into the otherwise uneventful finish.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 bierkoning (8956) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - JAN 25, 2007
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2007 I was quite disappointed with this one. Bottle from MiP. Very dark brown color. Roasted malt, dried fruit, tobacco and maggi both in aroma and flavor. Malty sweetish, but also quite salty. What a strange brew. Would be quite nice as a flavor enhancer in soup.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 saxo (11254) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - NOV 24, 2005
Bottle 33 cl. Hardly no aroma. Dark in color, small head that disappears fast. Taste is too roast/burned to my liking. Quite bitter aftertaste. Worst porter i have tasted so far
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 bager (2121) - Copenhagen N, DENMARK - MAY 2, 2006
On tap. Dark brown in colour with medium head. It was served so cold that I almost couldn’t hold the glass :-) So I might haver to rerate at some point. Very mild and kinda sterile.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 POLK (1884) - Hørning, DENMARK - FEB 19, 2012

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 austone (1062) - Turku; Pori, FINLAND - JUL 27, 2008
Dark opaque brown, small and fizzy brown head. Sweet syrupy nose, some coffee and alcohol. Extremely alcoholic flavor, little burned malts, dry coffee and a bit vinous finish. Watery, hollow palate. I just wonder how they can make the 7,8% ABV shine out this way. I guess you have to really use malts to make a good impy. Syrup, water and yeast just don’t go that far.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 mybestfriend (263) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - MAY 9, 2008
Bottle. Pours a black colour with a beige head. Aroma is very smokey - bacon, fläsksvålar and meat stock. Flavour has some sweetness. Loads (and I mean LOADS!) of bacon, fläsksvålar and meat stock once again. A hint of bitterness. Holy smoke (pun intended) this beer was really interesting and funny! It got way too meaty for me though. Try it!
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 chmurarz (512) - Legnica POLAND, POLAND - JUN 25, 2009

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 JensenTaster (1719) - DENMARK - JUL 22, 2004
UPDATED: MAR 20, 2006 (on bottle) I never got to tatse the "real" Gammel Carlsberg Porter; that is actually I did; in a lot of "Black Velvet´s". It´s is rated low by me ´cause it taste only of one single thing; what we call "english licorice" and that´s all.
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 austinpowers (2827) - New York, New York, USA - JUL 15, 2005
Absurdly massive roast flavor, like liquid smoke was poured into the bottle. Thin body. Poor effort.
