COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Draught at Scandic Copenhagen. Poors a darker amber to light brown coloured beer with no carbonation and a small off white head. Sweeter malty hinted aroma with some hints of fruits and caramel malts. Medium to full palate. Finish is little dence again malty with a slightly caramelized note. Ok

Flaska. Maltig doft och karamell, viss nötighet. Samma återkommer i smaken. Lättdrucket, ok, men inte jättespännande.

Carl’s Special is not really that special, but still a nice Vienna. It won the Carlsberg Beer election back in 1997, and has been a steady date for many danes ever since. It is an all malt beer with no grain or hops to trace. Not that it’s saying a whole lot, but it’s one of the better more serious brews from the mastodont. It pours beautifully amber with a fluffy white head. Smell is a little sweet and reminds me more of christmas brew, but the taste is more than just sweet malt. The palate is just not that interesting, and is more reminiscent of the bitter and flat lagers we’re used to by danish brewing factories. A little too soft, but elsewise overall average.

On tap 40cl. Small white layer. Dark amber color, some carbonation. Aroma is slightly roasted, hint of wood and rain water. Like cooking fumes. Easy drinkable. Flavour is quite perfumed, still roasted. Some leather. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at the airport. Brown-red colour, large white head. Nice malty lager aroma, the taste isnt that bad at all! Id be happy to drink this one when there is nothing but lagers available. Good bitter finish.

Ganske fredelig lagerøl. God til tørst. Fin farve. Drik den som tørstslukkende hverdagsøl.

0,5l can from Denmark. Clear, pale amber color with small, creamy, beige head. Soury, malt odor what continues in the aroma, supplemented with light grass and citrus flavour. Dry, light bitter taste. Light body, slick texture, average carbonation. Sour, malty finish. Interesting beer. Although it’s a Vienna, no sweetness appears. Sour one with malt fundaments and complementary hops.
