COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Carlsberg Elephant er en såkaldt ”Bockbier” og blev brygget for første gang i 1959. Den er vinøs og frugtig med smagsindtryk af æbler, melon, banan og karamel afbalanceret af en tør bitterhed. Du fornemmer også antydninger af egetræ, bark, nødder og fyrrenåle. Farven er lys gylden med hvidt skum.

English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

Aroma is very metallic. Metal comes through on palate with a note of dirt? Alcohol is very present with a soapy finish. It’s palatable, but not good.

Can 7,5 ABV. Pours dark golden yellow pale clear with lacing creamy white head. Aromas grains, sweet malts, cardboard, leather. Palte is slick medium full bodied watery, with smooth carbonation. Aftertaste is sweet maltiness, with hints of dryness and hoppy bitterness. ABV is decenlty hidden, however finish is rather metallic and industrial with papery notes. Remember now why I haven’t drank it in years..

Brings back memories was the high ABV choice back in the day ... amber pour off white head .... aroma of grassy hops, alcohol and sweet malts.... tastes just the same sweet malts, grassy hops and warming alcohol .... just a pounding pils

Between Giraf Gold, Slots Guld and Harboe Danish Pilsner this earned the 2nd place, mainly because it, compared to other 3, actually had some aroma (although mostly alcohol) and the top didn’t fade immidiately. A good and cheap choice, if you want to get loaded 3 days before paycheck.

On draft. Golden pour with a foamy white head. Maybe a little old. Flat lifeless hops, off flavors of dirty diaper, no real malt characteristic and bland yeast....

This beer has a fuller malt flavour but is still well attenuated and clean finishing. The malt is simple but has a touch of sweetness. The hops are neutral here but lend good bitterness. For a high alcohol lager it is still an easy drinking beer.

Carlsberg Elephant is a very clear, very sparkling, light golden beer. It has a thin, white head that vanishes quickly. It has an aroma of light grain, malt extract and skunk. It’s medium bodied, pretty smooth and pretty sparkling with a reasonably clean finish. It’s quite sweet. It tastes like malt extract and fusel oil with an aftertaste of burnt rubber. This is pretty unpleasant. Is this malt liquor?
