COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

Drank in Denmark first and tasted much better than in the U.S. Will drink every once in a while.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2010 Aroma is of bread dough, slightly sour and grassy undertone. Taste is a medium sour, with bitter and sweet. Apperance light yelow with a moderate head . Palate has a light to medium body, fizzy with a long after taste where the sour notes come in.

Poured a slightly hazy yellow-orange with a thin white head. Awful skunky aroma with rice. Taste is very sweet with pale malts and syrup. Not the worst tasting thing I’ve had, and it has a decent amount of alcohol that is well hidden. Overall I would probably not have another one.

Hmmm don’t like this as much.. I agree with all of you! Too sweet for me. Might taste like elephants I am not sure what they taste like... But if it is anything like this, I will pass.

Fra dåse, ok duft af humle, fremstår rigtig flot gylden med medium hvidt skum, alm fylde som en pilsner, en ok stærk pilsner....

From 0.5l box. Thick lasting foam. Lively carbonation with a quite smokey and sweet alcoholish aftertaste - perhaps with hints of pepper. Got better and better the warmer it became, so it needs some temperature.

Golden amber look with average white head. I got some malts and yeast dough in the aroma. Medium sweetness with a hopy taste, that at the end it turns alcoholic and flat. Oily feel and a lightly bitter finish with average carbonation.

Average. Pours a nice golden wheat sort of color. Head doesn’t stay really amount to much. Aroma is of grain, very earthy, maybe a little citrus. First taste is of a little hop bite and some skunk. The green bottle does not help this beer out. Overall an easy drinker, but not really much to get excited about. Average for the style, nice kick to it, but just average.
