COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Carlsberg Elephant er en såkaldt ”Bockbier” og blev brygget for første gang i 1959. Den er vinøs og frugtig med smagsindtryk af æbler, melon, banan og karamel afbalanceret af en tør bitterhed. Du fornemmer også antydninger af egetræ, bark, nødder og fyrrenåle. Farven er lys gylden med hvidt skum.

English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a dark golden beer with a big white/light yellow head. Very strong pilsener aroma with hints of bread and hops. Taste is like above with a nice bitter aftertaste. Just a normal strong version of a pilsener. Not that bad.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a nice white head & exceptional lacing. A hoppy, metallic aroma, very typical of most Euro lagers. A bit strong in flavor, goes down slow. Slight metallic aftertaste.

Sample from the bottle. Aroma & taste: sweet malt, grain, water. Mild bitter finish. Light body. Overall: this is not a beer I would ever buy... but it was not a drain pour.

Can. Pours a pale amber color with a small longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity malty grainy and bready aroma. Sweetish malty fruity grainy and bready flavor. Has a sweetish grainy malty bready finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.
