COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

Yellow with a dense head. Aroma of corn, alcohol and grass. The flavour is potent, dominated by the alcohol with a cloying sweetness.

Sterile, "lagery" aroma. Typical golden color. A bit sweet and malty. Nothing special.

29.01.2010, 0,5l Can. Golden colour with white head. Aroma is malty with bitterness and some sweetness. Considering the alcohol strength, I think this beer is rather weak. Aftertaste is a little short but there is some nice bitterness.

Not a fan, very generic tasting beer. Pours nice golden color. Taste is very skunky. It is a crisp but unrefreshing concotion. Maybe I just had a couple bad bottles, who knows. I will certainly not forgot this beer since I have to always remember not to purchase it again.

(sample) Pours a golden color with a pretty decent size head that dissipates fast until there is nothing left. Aroma is of pale malt and alcohol. Taste is a sweet malt with a bland hop componet. Also has a alcohol taste too. Thin texture and average carbonation. This beer reminds me of malt liqour.

Pours a orange with small white head, aroma is a bit of light floral hops and bready sweetness. Taste up front is a tiny bit of floral hops that leads into the malt sweetness, with some definite alcohol bit at the end. Average lager, but with a high ABV.

A very strong lager, with characteristics normally found in an ale. Deep, orange-tan color, with a white head that lasts fairly long, but then suddenly dissipates into nothingness. Caramel like nose, with some fruitiness and bubblegum seeping through. Very strong, almost sugary malt flavor, with a fair amount of hop flavor and bitterness off setting some of the sweetness. One main detractor in this brew is the alcohol; you can taste it, especially as the beer starts to warm, and almost takes on a "rubbing alcohol" character. Had it not been for the latter, this beer may have rated higher, for it’s not a bad effort.

12oz bottle. Poured a golden yellow with a large white head. Smell is grainy and mildly sweet smelling. Taste is alcohol and a bit of bitterness, sort of sweet. Tastes like malt liquor. The finish was dry and very alcoholic. The body was medium.
