COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

On-Tap in Paris, France (Half Pint):

Strong corn and lager hops aroma hits you straight away with this one, along with some citrus and a generally sweet aroma. The overall smell is a crisp and clean one.

Strong tasting with lager malts and hops along with some mild citrus and some malts. There is a fair amount of alcohol like grain to the taste along with a spicy finish.

Light, bright straw colour with a thin and bubbly white head around the top that leaves minimal lacing.

Thicker on the palate than most pale lagers but still light, for the most part it is a smooth beer but there is some alcohol grain to the drink. It is rounded off with a crisp and slightly bitter finish. Carbonation is medium.

Average tasting beer and although not a great drink it still ranks higher than both the previous Carlsberg offerings I have tried previously. It wasn’t great and it was slightly grainy but it id have strong flavours and nice kick to it.

Tasted a cool engraved green 330mL bottle into nucleated pint glass. It poured a clear light golden amber color, short-lived white foam, no lace. Faint aromas of mild malt and musky hops, somewhat Heineken-like in a good way, and alcohol. Tasted just like you’d expect a high-gravity pale lager to taste: familiar, mainly neutral but a bit harsher, almost solventy alcohol with nowhere to hide, but not terrible. Well-balanced and drinkable nonetheless, not nearly as offensive as an equivalent American malt liquor. Medium body, spritzy carbonation, some residual sweetness and alcohol in aftertaste. Not great, but there are worse ways to get drunk I suppose.

Bottle. Clear light gold pour. Grain on the nose, and slightly sweet. Tastes like a malt liquor. Not a big fan of this.

330ml Can. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of malt and alcohol with some hops. Sweet malty with alcohol warmth. Some malt liquor feeling to it, but better than I remembered it. A bit harsh bitterness in the finish, but actually drinkable.

bottle, yellow coloured with small white head. Smell: some grainy-grassy smell. Taste: yeasty notes, grainy .. typical like the ’normal’ carlsberg, but some more alcohol within. Don’t know why they made this one, but it’s ’ok untill the aftertaste who is some industrial’.

11.2oz bottle - pours light gold with rich white head and good lacing. Nose is yeast and pilsner-like hops.Flavor is alcohol, light maltiness and grain. taste is light sweet and mainly bitter but not too much. watery texture and somewhat sticky mouthfeel. I like it because it is simple and strong - it has its purpose.

Bit of a straw with a dash of skunkiness in the aroma. Golden clear yellow. Has a distinct sweetness in the middle with some bitterness towards the end to balance it off. Surprisingly good and wasn’t what I was expecting. Worth checking out.

From a 500 ml can. Golden colour, medium creamy but unstable head. Fresh smell of fruits and flowers (but both not really strong). Medium sweet taste, apple, malt, light bitterness. sticky texture, average carbonization. could need some more "depth", but ok. Edit: While drinking, the taste gets more and more alcoholic.
