COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Carlsberg Elephant er en såkaldt ”Bockbier” og blev brygget for første gang i 1959. Den er vinøs og frugtig med smagsindtryk af æbler, melon, banan og karamel afbalanceret af en tør bitterhed. Du fornemmer også antydninger af egetræ, bark, nødder og fyrrenåle. Farven er lys gylden med hvidt skum.

English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

It came in a four pack. And as a freshmen in college, it seemed like the most alcoholic beer in the cooler. It wasn’t. But for some reason (strong lager?) we thought it was.

Wow, this stuff tastes like garbage. Avoid at all costs. Turpentine mixed with metal taste.

Luzern, 07. This one is pretty nasty. The most dominant taste here is of alcohol and has a bitter/metallic finish that will haunt you for days. Avoid this beer.

Bottle. Maybe I just got lucky, but I find this beer pretty good. Just like the weaker Carlsberg, hoppy and mellow with some honey and malt flavor. Not bad at all. Little to no alcohol taste.

I have had this a few times and really dont remember it tasting as bad. I may have to re-rate later on. skunked hop aroma. alcohol flavor with a dry tart finish and slight bitterness. pretty undrinkable for me.

Can from Prague airport, at home. Orange hue. Pretty strong nose. Hoppy, strong alcohol content. Watery and strong sharp aftertaste. Not very good.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2007 utterly miserable. got this from mike’s fridge. god knows how old it was. tasted like rancid corn. coming off a dancing man wheat, this could probably not have tasted much worse.

orange / yellow color. Was acidic with a bitter aftertaste. Not my idea of a strong Lager. I won’t forget this beer because of the taste it left in my mouth. Wouldn’t buy or drink this one again.
