COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Carlsberg Elephant er en såkaldt ”Bockbier” og blev brygget for første gang i 1959. Den er vinøs og frugtig med smagsindtryk af æbler, melon, banan og karamel afbalanceret af en tør bitterhed. Du fornemmer også antydninger af egetræ, bark, nødder og fyrrenåle. Farven er lys gylden med hvidt skum.

English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

Pale yellow with a big white head. Little to no aroma. Flavor is very little hop, mild malts, a bit on the bitter side. Better than the non-elephant version of carlsberg.

0.33l bottle at home. Clear yellow color with medium white head. Malty sweet aroma. Taste is bitter with hint of sweetenes. Quite strong.

A rusty golden color with a small white head. The taste of the beer was dominated by alcohol, which had a rough, grainy body. The beer was fairly bitter, with some sweet flavors mixed in. Fizzy on the palate and with moderate carbonation. The aroma was almost overpowering.

Clear, slightly darker golden with a small white head. Sweet malt and light alcohol in the aroma. Alcoholic dominated body, with a reasonable bittereness. Sweet malt flavours. A fairly winey finish rounds of a pretty bad beer.

(33 cl bottle brought home from Denmark) Clear golden color, white head. Malty grainy scent. Rather thin body. Light malty but mostly sweet alcohol taste. Sweet aftertaste. Too high alcohol and too thin body. Needs more caramel malts and more hops, and probably another yeast...

Bottle. Golden colour. Malty, sweet and bit fruity aroma. Nice strong mouthfull with a tickleling touch of the alcohol on the tungue. Nice lasting aftertaste.

This is a funny little beer that is actually pretty wide spread in America. It is called malt liquor because of its decidedly high alcohol content. Nice coloring, a but sweet, but not really on the hoppy side at all. Alcohol taste is not as repulsive as in malt liquors or things like that thankfully. Nice beer to drink to get drunk.
