COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

Bottle at home. This is Mulla’s favorit beer. Clear golden - ehite edges. Too much alcohol. Sour, malty, light sweetness, very light hopped. Not pleasant.

Bottle (as if it mattered). Have been told that Carlsberg bought out Carnegie Porter, one of my favorites, and closed down production so that it could produce this swill. Rather than even dignifying it with a review, I’ll just quote Oakes: "Obscenely terrible."

Pours a golden color with barely any head. Aroma of caramel malt and a slight skunky odor. I agree with some one who said, "it is better then american malt liqours"

Bottle. Darkgolden look and an aroma and taste which is "something", but nothing more. Maybe it is the mix of some alcohol, despite it’s 7.2 % and then some hoppyness, but quite an av. beer for the style.

Rich gold color, no head but a ring of bubbles around the outside of the glass. Full malty aroma. Had a half decent flavour, quite different, but you could taste a fair bit of alcohol.

Sweet, grainy and alcoholic aroma. The taste is quite sweet, but also pretty alcoholic, and the bitter aftertaste doesn’t balance with it - on the other hand is it just adding more acridness. The aftertaste is marked by the hops, but a little sweetness from the malts can be recognized too. Not a good Carlsberg - I have never been very fond of Carlsberg Elephant.

Pours a golden color with a white head. The aroma is off with a slightly unpleasent quality. The flavor is weak and the finish is lacking.

HAzy golden yellow. skunky aroma. not much flavor. Fizzy and a creamy texture. VEry strong. Gave my body instant chills on the first sip. Still doesn’t have any flavor.
