COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Carlsberg Elephant er en såkaldt ”Bockbier” og blev brygget for første gang i 1959. Den er vinøs og frugtig med smagsindtryk af æbler, melon, banan og karamel afbalanceret af en tør bitterhed. Du fornemmer også antydninger af egetræ, bark, nødder og fyrrenåle. Farven er lys gylden med hvidt skum.

English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

A bit alcoholic in aroma and flavor. Ok foam with a dark and malty apperance and a hoppy finish.

Nekronos (2627) - Xalapa, MEXICO - SEP 13, 2006
Very creamy, strong, but with flavour. NOt too annoying because of the alcoholic, it is a little dark, and malty. The foam is great. IFnally I got it, one by one my impossibles are falling.

I had already tried carlsberg, never really planned on trying it again on Denmark but sometimes it was the only option :) I didn’t know of the elephant version and decided to try it. Not very impressed just like a stronger carlsberg with skuny aroma.

Bottle: Got this one in a supermarket in Costa Rica on a business trip. A potent beer with strong note of pepper that hides the high level of alcohol.

Bockyhorsey (2591) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - SEP 1, 2006
330 ml bottle. Road kill skunk aroma. Dark yellow body with white head. Flavor was lot of malt and had a medium bitterness. Flavor was also burnt corn mash that left somewhat of a bad aftertaste.

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Sweet and grassy aroma. Corn, alcohol and a dry finish.
