COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

faint hoppy aroma, thin malty taste, pale amber colour; light-bodied, slightly sweet initial taste contrasting with a dry, bitter finish dominated by alcohol.

Yellow gold with moderate head. More hops and grass on the nose than Carlsberg lager, but much thinner on the palate without much flavour. Refreshing and enjoyable, and better than most mass-marketed North American lagers, but still pretty average.

Bottled. Golden with a white head and fair lace. Aroma is musky like a pislner--much like a pilsner--with bready yeast, a touch of honey and maybe some corn or something that told me "malt liquor." It simply smells like malt liquor... Body is light to medium with light foamy carbonation and a dry finish. Flavor is corn syrup sweet, touch of caramel, light dough and a lightly bitter//sour finish. An aftertaste of bitter metal followed this beer down, which was a rather unpleasant marring of a decent beer.

(330ml bottle) Clear golden colour, small foamy white head. Grainy and sweet malty taste with alcohol. Sweet and malty tate with an unbalanced but quite well hopped dry and bitter finish. The alcohol is always present.

Light in colour, not a special good aroma. The taste are to most alcoholic.

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Hoppy aroma dominated by alcohol. ’Strong’ flavour. The alcohol is clearly present, although the beer doesn’t actually taste as much of it as could be expected. Sweetish. Some bitterness. A bit metallic. Not very interesting, though.

About par for the course with little to set it apart. Bland hops and little malt to speak of make this a truly underwhelming experience. The alcohol is noticeable, homey.

Bottle. Poured golden amber. Small hoppy aroma. Light body with small finish. A below average malt beer.

Pours a medium golden color. Aroma is malty and somewhat grainy. Flavor is fairly malty with a fairly strong alcohol aftertaste. Best malt liquor I’ve had.

Golden appearance with a fluffy white head that laces a little. Aroma is light malt and corn. Taste is kind of surprisingly sweet malts, some corn, and maybe a little toffee on the back side. A shade heavier on the palate than I expected for the color. Really not that much flavor, but I honestly didn’t expect all that much out of a malt liquor at this price. Covers the alcohol well though so it was o.k to drink.
