COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Carlsberg Elephant er en såkaldt ”Bockbier” og blev brygget for første gang i 1959. Den er vinøs og frugtig med smagsindtryk af æbler, melon, banan og karamel afbalanceret af en tør bitterhed. Du fornemmer også antydninger af egetræ, bark, nødder og fyrrenåle. Farven er lys gylden med hvidt skum.

English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

Poured honey colored yellow with white head. Aroma of slight honey and fruits. Not a bad pils/strong lager. Oily flavor going down with hints of honey. Nice ABV to this beer which made it a little more bold then most pils.

Elefantti on keltainen ja hieman samea olut valkoisella vaahdolla. Tuoksu on vahvan diasetyylinen ja maltainen. Maku on hieman makea, hieman hedelmäinen, ruohoisen humaloitu ja maltainen. Kokonaisuudessaan myös pahvinen olut. Suutuntuma voisi näin vahvaksi olueksi olla täyteläisempi.

Carlsberg Elephant has a medium, white head and a hazy, yellow-golden appearance, with a good amount of carbonation. There is not much lacing left down the glass. The aroma is biscuity, and I detected a slight vegetable smell as well. Taste is mild initially, but at mid-sip a strong bitterness comes across. Mouth-feel is moderate, and Carlsberg Elephant finishes fairly refreshing and semi-dry. Overall, it’s worth a try, and it is an alright beer. RJT

A slightly above-average malt liquor. It is all malt i believe so what you are dealing with here is a nuttiness and some alcoholic tones.

Bought in Bucharest, Romania. Golden beer with a nice white head. Sweet malt aroma with some hop on it. Flavor is pretty much the same as aroma. Sweet mouthfeel.

Well once again, another one of these beers in a green bottle. These brewers need to wake up and bottle their beer in brown bottles. I had one of these that was a semi decent pils style with a nice hop funk but not the best ever pils. The next one had the skunky bad Heineken smell and very metalic nasty taste to it which I would bet is a green bottle issue. Anyway, at its best (when not skunk phucked)-- a drinkable beer with a nice ABV and kick when its good and not gone bad.

500 ml can in Germany. Pours a gold color, litte head. Aroma is strong alcohol and malt. Taste is horrible with lots of metals and alcohol. Palate is lingering and bad. Like an ex wife avoid.
