1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 VTHopHead (1387) - Barre, USA - MAY 24, 2011
Bottle/11.2oz - Pours a golden yellow in color with a very small white head and almost no carbonation. Aroma is medium skunky... green bottle... and somewhat malty with a small amount of sweetness and grassy hops. Flavor is also fairly sweet and malty. Finish is slightly hoppy and slightly bitter. Some lingering skunk... green bottles SUCK!

Not as disgusting as I remember it from my teens, but too strong and sharp. With a cry of distress drinkable.
2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 jsmerig (536) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 24, 2012
Pours a clear golden yellow with a light white foamy head. Aroma is banana and spice. Taste is very malty sweet up front. Followed by only a slight underlying bitterness. It impacts the balance a bit and the beer ends up being quite sweet.

Golden colour, almost no head. Bready aroma with noticeable alcohol hints. Some sweetness. Medium body. Average strong beer.

Yellow, not much head. Nose is pretty clean, bit grassy. Flavor is reasonably crisp, a bit oversweet due to the strength of the brew but has a decent fruity base.

Another pale lager, nothing too interesting but some decent grass and blended watery hop notes.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 dresden (266) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - MAY 12, 2012
Clear golden/amber. Smells of grain, plenty of corn, skunk and actually a bit of yeast. Tastes pretty light and actually easy to drink for 7+% abv. Why did I drink this?
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2012
Jan 2008 from BA: Small green 275ml bottle, well in date and poured into my Corsendonk tulip glass.
Good deep golden colour with a solid white head, it looked like a strong lager should, darker than a normal lager and meatier looking.
Not a huge aroma, alcohol esters and a little malt, it gets my normal 3.0 score for lager smells.
The alcohol hits the tastebuds first and wont let go, if there is something else to discover I failed to find it.
It isn’t really ’a well balanced beer’ but it does have a presence that other strong lagers don’t seem to have. The metalic twang some produce isn’t here, nor the wet cardboard feel others have.
Overall it didn’t quite win me over and I wouldn’t want a pint of it, the little bottle I had was enough. I did have a draught one years ago at a trade fair in Berlin but I can’t recall much about the day let alone which beers I enjoyed the most.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MrHangover (466) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle. Pours a clear dark golden colour with a white head. Sweet aroma of honey, caramel and some alcohol. Only a little skunk detected. Not your typical strong lager. Flavour is sweet by alcohol and medium carbonated. Nice maltiness in the middle, but the alcohol is overpowering. Too bad. Still a really good strong lager in my opinion!
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Scrapersnbeer (451) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Notes of honey in fact means big wafts of corniness and stewed lettuce. Sometimes described as a heller bock, this beer is too orange to be an average lager, but not crappy enough to be malt liquor. The flavor is a melting pot of random grain elements. This beer feels heavy but I wouldn’t say it’s biting or hard to drink in any other way. Years ago over 7% abv made an impression on lager drinkers. Now not so much. "And you smell like an Elephant’s butt!" - B. Simpson.

i have a sore throat or neck or something.. not sure what. drank 4 or 5 dos equis and that is garbage by the way. maybe a bottle of wine after. sent midge to the store for cigarettes and a cool pack of brew i didn’t rate yet.. guess this is it.
smell
little bit of syrupy malt. some sour funk.. not too bad tho. a skunked lager thats probably been sitting in the liquor store for a while.. oh well. what’s 10 bucks for a six pack of beer that will hurt a lot less than a couple malt liquor fortys.. 7.2 by vol. drinkin out the bottle on this one. first taste? medium carbonation.. sweet. big beer but don’t really get too much syrup. little bit of cooked veggie bitterness at the end. as the beer warms, the syrup becomes more noticeable. actually, as a cold lager, this one will beat u down and remain pretty easy. refreshing when cold. fucks you up big time. 10 bucks at the local but where they make this its probably cheap.. i can’t taste any adjunct in here... just maybe a cheaper malt and a lot of it. i’m faded. easiest 7.2 lager you will ever find. danish.. i guess i am. "sen" on the end of the last name apparently locks that down. i always thought being a top west European islander meant i was kind-of a blond head weirdo. Little did i know these people are the hardest human beings around. need to be if you drink this and call it beer. good shit.. my new shit. go elephant!
