3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured golden with a decent white, frothy head. Sweet malt aroma with a slight taste of alcohol. I remember this as one of my first imports back in the early 80s and loving it. Not so great now with so many more choices, but good memories and not a bad bee

Bottle, cold. Haven’t had this since the 80s. Orange gold with a white head. aroma of honey, biscuit, light spices. Fairly light bodied - it’s only the lick of booze that gives away its strength. Pretty smooth and bland - and that is an achievement of sorts: there’s none of the rogue fruity or solvent notes you often get with strong lagers. Modest grassy and spicy bitter finish. Well made but a bit pointless.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of malt, sweet. Taste is malty with hops some bread and some alcohol, not as much as expected for a lager with 7.2%. Bitter.

They know what their doing at Carlsberg. This is a good strong very drinkable ale. With lots of malty sweetness with very little after taste, would recommend.

Flaske. farven er mørk gyldengul med en ok hvid skumkrone. Aromaen er sødlig vinøs og smagen er maltagtig og karamel.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml pint glass from tap.
Pours a clear orange color forming a small white and thin bubbled head with low retention and very few lacings left. Sweet caramel and honey in the nose. Flowery hops. A bit boozy. Taste follows the nose. Slightly sweet upfront followed by a bready and crispy malty taste. Grassy and mild hops bitterness. Hints of resin. Mild to heavy body, controlled medium carbonation. Sweet pale malts in the aftertaste. Sweet and boozy. Medium to low drinkability. No big deal for such a popular beer.
