COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

I saw the Elephant and I thought it might be some wacky, Danish, enjoyable IPA of sorts. It was wacky and Danish, but not enjoyable!!!1 But if you need a quick alchohol fix or have a strange affinity for elephants, give it a shot.

This was just wicked in terms of taste. The appearance just slightly beats out colt 45, but the aroma is just rank. Canada does not know how to do a malt liquor in my opinion. Its quite a scary adventure.

Ewwwwww. This stuff was crap. Golden color, but aroma was very poor. The taste was even worse. Very carbonated, and as it warmed, it tasted more and more like medicine. Wont be getting this one again.

What a waste of a six pack. You can definitely tell that there is 7.2% alcohol. Overpowers the beer and makes it hard to get through even one bottle.

Very poor. Had a very strong skunky aroma. Very watery, but you could taste the skunky flavor. Lacked carbonation. Nasty, skunky, sour finish. Interesting label though.

Has kind of a hefeweizen appearance to it even though I think it’s offically classified as a malt liquor. It smells worse than it tastes.

Immediate reaction is grass. I feel like I just drank grass clippings, fresh grass clippings. The aroma is malty and grassy. It’s appearance is yellow and ordinary. Its taste is not unusual, but not good either, with a definite grassy taste. I always say it’s important to be distinct, but not in this way. It’s not particularly easy on the palate either. This is not enjoyable.

500 ml can in Germany. Pours a gold color, litte head. Aroma is strong alcohol and malt. Taste is horrible with lots of metals and alcohol. Palate is lingering and bad. Like an ex wife avoid.

This is a feeble attempt to make a beer of substance by the giant Carlsberg industry

Bottle. Mine’s the German version presumably brewed in M’gladbach. Clear golden pour and a flurrfy white head. Smells of sweet malt, tastes of badness. Very grassy and bitter, but the dominant force here is extreme alcohol burn - we’re two steps away from drinking everclear. Repulsive unbalanced swill, couldn’t dirnk it.
