English: Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

500mL can found in the ’closeout’ bin post Saint Patrick’s Day. I don’t know how it got mixed in with a bunch of UK beers...but another interesting beer to try on the cheap. Makes me remember Carlsberg beers consumed in Malawi as a Peace Corps volunteer and think back that none of them were this bad. It’s just a lot of alcohol in a golden yellow delivery product. I’d rather drink an IPA with the same abv if alcohol was the only reason to drink.

Malt aroma (notes of hops and toastiness). Pale and clear, short lasting white head. Medium sweet, light bitterness. Alcohol is present. Average carbonation, medium body.

(2) Not worth trying. Strong beer. A try beer - if there is nothing else. Sharp. Alcoholic.

Drank out of a bottle, thank you Björn! But tastes like your average green bottled beer, wish Carlsberg would realize what sunshine does to their beer.

330ml bottle. Golden amber colour, with a small quickly fading white head. Pleasant aroma of sweet malt. Flavour is also malty with a nice sweetness to it. A little syrupy but not in a bad way. Despite the ABV it didn’t taste that strong, also not much bitterness. Nicer than Carlsberg’s other offerings.

This is the safe carlsberg to drink before you start trying the master brew, stout, n porter. It’s almost like their Pilsner.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Nose has rubber tyre, old ashtrays, burnt sugar. Hazy amber beer with thin solid white head. High carbonation, very fine bubbles. Oily texture. Mineral water taste, a little zingy. Finish is smooth caramel sauce, alcohol and a little touch of hop bitterness. Keeps reminding me of an open sewer! Surely you only drink this quickly to get hammered.

Can 0,33L. Clear, medium golden color with small, frothy, white head that leaves fair lacing. Aroma of bread, grain and toasted malts. Taste starts light sweet and corny, become light bitter for a moment, than turns to sweet finish again, with a lightnote of alcohol. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation and chalky finish. Just another booze beer...
