Classic light lager. Light sweet, light bitter...not much there. I already feel the hangover.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
As a Northerner, I almost drank it with mother’s milk. Classical taste to match the dining table as on itself.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
I’m in two minds about this. Usually export lagers brewed under licence don’t float the boat at all, but there was something about this that said to me "Yes, I’m an impostor and you know I am one, but actually I’m quite tasty as well. And it is in that spirit that I threw a Carlsberg back last Sunday night. Bright yellow in colour with obvious carbonation and a white head. Aromas of some sort of metallic hop and flavours of pale malt and the same. The one I drank would have been around 7-9 degrees and actually tasted like something I would want to have another of. So, yes. Well done.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle 275ml, a clear yellow beer with medium head. Nose is on sweet malt, aroma is sweet on malt with corn sugar notes and a round hopy and grassy finish. Quite drinkable and properly balanced, not a top pilsner but a hopy easy going lager.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Obviously well sought after by the NZ rate beer crowd. Only reason why I didn’t put this with the others is that the NZ version is 5% while the other is 4.6% which to me means we are not drinking the same beer.
Little nose and quite a flat head. Not much happening in the flavour profile but it is drinkable and quite clean. For drinking fast.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
500ml can. Carries a deep snow white head in the initial pour. Head settles pretty quickly. Light amber colour with lots of grainy straw aromas. Earthy muddy flavour that is not pleasant at all and leaves a bad aftertaste.

Can 0,5ltr: Golden clear well balanced brew with an slightly bitter aftertaste. From all big breweries in the world, Carlsberg is mine world nr.1 amongst the ranks of AB-Inbev, Heineken, SAB-Miller and such.
