2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle at the Servisair Lounge, Birmingham Airport! Poured a clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is stale malt and yeast. The flavour is medium bitter with a malt hop palate and a short bitter finish. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation. A fizzy lager indeed!

Bunch of 650ml bottles in Kathmandu. Pours a clear gold with some fading, white head. Nose has some stale grass, stale malt, a little honey, some lemon. Flavor follows, mild corn, mild malt, a little briny actually, some grass. Watery finish.

A better brew than regular Carslberg, it is still a ’cheap’ tasting lager overall.

German export in 0,5 l bottle. My husband likes to refer to beer in green bottles that they smell like a mens toilet. And this is what comes to my mind when drinking Carlsberg. Citrus flavors, medium bitterness.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2014 0,5 l bottle. Unbelievable citrus smell. You have to be a fan but when it hits you, you are done. Maybe industrial made beer but it still has something special. Yeast and citrus all over. Great one. Still.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Appearance: Clear golden color with a white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Mild malty, moderate hoppy and mild corn.
Palate: Medium body. Slight sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Mild sweet malty, mild hoppy, corn and some fruity notes.
Overall impression: Plain lager. The sweet corn stuff makes it just bad.
Personal stats: Bottle from Brugsen in Kolding, Denmark

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A modified rating from the old days:
Clear golden (yellow) colored beer with a small to medium and quick disappearing white head on top of it.
The smell is typical grainy, some malts, light sweets, old grassy hops and herbs.
Taste is light/medium bitter with grainy herbs, grassy hops and some sweet bitter herbs.
Aftertaste seems to be more bitter than it’s in the taste. Decent for the style but bad for beer in general…

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
568ml can. Straw with a loose white head; cereal grain aroma; fresh gainy flavour with a medium body and light carbonation;
and a very lightly bitter finish, just avoiding the damp cardboard found in so many cheap macro lagers. Probably the best lager in the world ...
I beg to differ.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Can from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. Fully diminishing greyish blond head. Plain pale pilsner golden body. Appears sweeter and with less bittering hops than the original. Weak, sweet-scented malt aroma with a light fruit tone. Taste is sweetish malts and faint apple-fruitiness. Barely any bittering hops. Slick texture. No offs, but bland and utterly boring.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
(Bottled, rated 2006-01-06 16:15:11) Pale golden with a medium, lightly lacy head. Slightly stufy nose with fruitiness and reasonable hopping. Sweetish, honeyish flavor with quite crisp, lemony hops - but also slightly dish-washing-liquidy. Light body with lots of CO2. Ok hops, but that’s it.
