Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a diminishing white head. Bit of lacing. Nasty cooked vegetable aroma with a milky touch. Flavour is cereals with cooked vegetables. Same finish, but with a touch of hops. Nope. 21.01.12.

Bottle. Pale yellow, nose is slight. Bit of hop and grainy malt. taste has quite a bit of fruity hop, not much malt and a dry uninteresting finish. Not a bad macro and has some taste to it. Finish lacking though.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2013 An average lager. There really isn’t much more to say about it. I will drink it if forced.

50 cl can, Sheffield, UK via the corner shop. Medium gold, sweet corn aroma. Strange mouthfeel, carbonation and spice mix together. Honey on the finish.

660 Mil bottle at Pete’s ’housewarming’. Pale piss coloured. A standard Pale Lager with maybe just a tiny bit more. There’s definitely a bit of character to the hops. Grassy, floral. I’m getting carried away. This is a pale lager we’re talking about...

440ml can. Pale yellow, small white head, quite effervescent. Relatively hoppy with straw notes, modest malt sweetness and a dash of lemon. The bitterness does well to hide the overbearing graininess of the standard Carlsberg. Medium carbonation, light body, on the watery side but has a decent length to the finish.

I’m in two minds about this. Usually export lagers brewed under licence don’t float the boat at all, but there was something about this that said to me "Yes, I’m an impostor and you know I am one, but actually I’m quite tasty as well. And it is in that spirit that I threw a Carlsberg back last Sunday night. Bright yellow in colour with obvious carbonation and a white head. Aromas of some sort of metallic hop and flavours of pale malt and the same. The one I drank would have been around 7-9 degrees and actually tasted like something I would want to have another of. So, yes. Well done.

Draft at Moriartys. Clear pale gold pour with a little white foam. Very, very mild flavors. Hints of lightly toasted wheat. Clementines. Medium carbonation. Nothing to offend but there is nearly nothing there. Feels like only the ghost of an actual beer.

Synnerlligen trist öl, med svaga dofter av hö och citrus, smakar mest ingenting och lite gräs. Menlös.
