faroeviking (6024), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands Dec 8, 2006 Bottle. Light yellow colour with small head. Weak malty aroma. Flavour quite waterish with some maltiness and actually rather sparkling. No aftertaste. Malty water. mlb06uk (6), England does not count Oct 25, 2006 Darkish yellow colour, good sized head, with strong taste, and the extra cool makes it even better than the usual lager. flemmingwillum (226), København S, Denmark Aug 11, 2006 Since this beer isn’t available anymore I have decided to rate it on a memory from some years ago, when I had it from tap i Tivoli Copenhagen.
I remember it as a light, very refreshing beer, but without more taste than some sweetness from the malt. It also was without much aroma, and only with a light taste of hops in the aftertaste. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 6, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Funny story behind this beer. At the time of it’s launch only low alcohol beers were allowed in Danish commercials. So for Carlsberg to sponsor the No. 1 Danish soccer-team - FC Copenhapen - they had to advertise a specific, low alcohol product - hence this beer was developed. Luckily the rules have changed and this poor effort is retired from the market. Pale golden, very light body. All malt the label says, meaning that the corn is gone. Instead there’s some wheat in here, but it leaves no traces. Well, not a beer that left any mark in Danish beer-history. 080699 Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 14, 2004 Updated: Jan 21, 2005Golden color, Weak aroma and taste, almost no taste, light watery body, light watery finish. danish for bud. ThomasE (5179), Copenhagen, Denmark Jan 25, 2004 Brewed so that Carlsberg could sponsor the best soccerteam in Denmark. Then the adverticing laws where changed and Carlsberg Extra Cool was history. Weak in both aroma and taste. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark Nov 19, 2002 Very weak and very bad. MartinKubert (862), Copenhagen, Denmark Sep 25, 2002 Not bad for a low alcoholic beer. Very boring taste, unless it is served ice-cold (then there is no taste at all).
