0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 ALLOVATE (1534) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - AUG 25, 2006
Just how do you rate a zero percentile. Well you don’t need to lie, for starters, and honesty, though it is harsh, is the best policy. Let’s keep this at ’0’. Poured a bright, yellowy gold, lightly carbed, big bubbled, with a flaccid, soapy white head. Aroma is of carnival fairy floss dowsed in heated, liquid butter. MMM, mmm, rub your tummy, scrumptious!! Buttery and candi sweet in the mouth too. Just slips and slides along the palate coating it with a film it took two bottles of Carlsberg Royal Stout to clean. Soft and prickly otherwise, chemical, very feint stale hop in back - more for prolonged life (?) than flavour, obviously - and just a touch of grain peaking through the layers of diacetyl nastiness in the rather heavy swallow. Drainpour, this was nasty. And by the rest of the ratings I can’t say I had a bad sample. (5.6% ABV, BBE 12/06, Brewed under license in Selangor, Malaysia, tasted at the Changi Airport, Singapore)
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 bluevegie (2852) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 5, 2006
Bottle. 5.6% Pale golden body with a short, hardly lasting head. Soapy and grainy aroma. Stale hops taste reminds me of a badly made pils without the bite.

Overly sweet beer, brewed for alcohol delivery into the human body, drain pour!
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 TBone (9096) - Pori, FINLAND - FEB 25, 2006
Bottled, alc. 5.6%
Brewed by Carlsberg Malaysia only?
Golden color, small white head. Malty with some maize hints. Starts kind of harsh malty, then finish is sweet. Quite basic bulk lager - and I had to travel all way to Kuala Lumpur for this.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 ElGaucho (1816) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - SEP 15, 2005
Bottle. My employee brought this back from Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia for me. Basic lager aroma. Not bad. Crystal clear pale gold with a few strands of steady carbonation rising to the top. Avg.-sized white head quickly diminishes but keeps a thin layer on top for awhile at least. Initial mouthfeel tastes like it smells, but the flavor is quickly fleeting. Thin and fairly innocuous, but by no means offensively bad like the average ratings would indicate. In fact, the bottom 50 beers on Ratebeer start at 1.22 and go down from there. This beer’s score is 1.23, so it is dangerously close to joining that dubious class. I’m just not sure it deserves to be that low. It’s not a great beer, but it isn’t a god awful bad beer either. At 5.6% ABV, it’s a little lower in alcohol than I would have guessed for an Ice beer. I had a Tiger beer right before this, and where that was smooth and enjoyable, this is simply not all that enjoyable. There isn’t enough here to keep the palate interested, but there is some Ratebeer bias, ice beer bias, and macro-Carlsberg bias going on here as well. Not saying it’s a good beer by any stretch, just not as awful as people are saying. I didn’t drain pour it.
0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Nightfall (1231) - Hamburg, GERMANY - JUL 4, 2005
One of the worst (if not the worst) beers that I tried. It’s as if you have add yellow color and some alcohol to water. Worst than a bud. Practically undrinkable !

Bottled, filtered, 330ml. Pale yellow, drunk from bottle. Sharp non beer taste, biscuit but little else. Why oh why.

This gotta be the worst beer i ever tasted. They call it beer, but its more like pale yellow water, with almost no body.
