2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 yespr (20653) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - SEP 15, 2008
33 cL bottle, 1999 vintage. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Aroma is dense wineous and oldis. Dramatic change from the original fully clean and towards watery aroma and flavour. Dense malty and fruity oxidised. A bit flat into the finish. Way too oxidised but better than I remember the original.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 MikeogHen (16) - DENMARK - NOV 11, 2006
In spite of it´s 5% alcohol, it does´nt really taste like anything but water. Good for thirst and not much else.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 neilrichards (191) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 6, 2002
Usual ice-beer standard. Lacks taste and colour.
2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 bierkoning (7776) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - AUG 5, 2004
Brewed in Mönchengladbach. Just a hint of orange in the flat aroma. A total lack of flavor in this beer. sweetish, grainy, no hopbitterness. Only some vague orange fruit. Sad beer!
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 jerohen (1775) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - MAY 2, 2003
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2003 Comparable with all other ice beers, which are characterized by a total lack of flavour. However, i thought this was not even that bad (when compared to e.g. the Florisgaarden brews and that Chili beer...).
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 oh6gdx (15510) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAR 4, 2010
Bottled@The 1st Vaasa CS/ES beer session (Thanks JP!). Bought in Malaysia, 5.6% abv. Pale yellowish golden colour with mediumsized bubbly white head. Aroma is malts, some grains and quite grassy as well. Flavour is quite similar. Actually quite mild flavours for being 5.6%, as it is rather watery.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 HansJM (358) - NORWAY - NOV 21, 2001
Not the worst ICE...but the style is terrible. I tested it in the brewery, so maybe that’s the reason why it comes out not too bad.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 bluevegie (2852) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 5, 2006
Bottle. 5.6% Pale golden body with a short, hardly lasting head. Soapy and grainy aroma. Stale hops taste reminds me of a badly made pils without the bite.
