G.L Carlsberg Imperial Stout Porter was introduced in 1930, won the silver medal in 1996 World Championships, and is still remembered as the world’s best Porter. Sold in bottles and cans.

Aromas and flavours are dominated by caramel, liquorice, Munich malt and roasted chocolate malt, providing a deep dark brown colour with light brown foam.

Serving suggestions: Should be served at 7-10 C. Its strong character makes it suitable for the cold winter months. Its caramelized malt flavor pair well with game, roast pork, sausage, potatoes, ham or desserts with chocolate. It could also be enjoyed by itself or mixed with lemon water.

Super lækker porter/stout øl. Overraskende let drikkelig og sødlig. Næsten en 4'er...

Stor smag som en porter skal have. Den har smag af lakrids og en lille smule rřg. God řl.

Delicious substitute to coffee on a snowy day. There’s a reason why all Carlsberg beers are strong, cuz it’s cold arse sht up there n you need a good strong beer to warm you up. If you prefer water down beer try an American one.

Pitch black colour with a dark head. Aroma of roasted malt, molasses, liquorice and smoke. Also some vinous character with sour berries. Taste of malt, dark chocolate, some molasses and some liquorice. Some vinous background taste.

Kóstoltam én ezt már régen is, ötlött az eszembe mikor jó nagyot húztam a pintes pohárból. Hát persze, ez a Carls Porter álruhában.

Very vintage bottle, but no clue on how old it is since it doesnt have a date on it. Inside of the cap is totally fucked up. Some parts of the downside stuck on the opening. The beer itself appears to be fine, as it pours black with still a good, and rather stable, grey head. Lots of sediments though, chemical thickeners?? Smell is intense roasted malts, portorization in a very good way. Taste is really nice ! Great grainnotes, very roasty, rather sweet, some oats, some portorization. It drinks like a very simple, basic imperial stout ( I dont know why it isn’t under that style) but with a magnificent balance and outstanding complexity. I wish I knew how old it was, I believe this is probably the perfect age for this beer. Love it !

Beautiful permanent nougat colored foam. Limited aroma of little chocolate notes with hard roasted malt. The flavor is coffee, dark chocolate and hard roasted malt abundant. Its great richness in flavor make it a full-fat and type of real porter that is both hearty, very tasteful and thick in its entirety. It was first brewed as top-fermented porter by Carlsberg in 1871, but never beat really depends on the market. First brewed in 1895 in a bottom-fermented version and it has been since been on the Danish market.

Can. Pours pitch black with small brown head. Aroma is roasty malt and liquorice. Slight boozy and caramel malts. Taste is is sweet, malty then turns really roasty. Long dry finish with loads of liquorice. Let it warm, then you get the full body. A treat for the price!

Can. Black colour with a brown head. Aroma has notes of caramel, roasted malt, and coffee. Sweet taste with medium bitterness. Notes of roasted malts, caramel and chocolate. The alcohol is well hidden. Full body with average carbonation and a long and bitter finish. Very tasty porter.
