Despite this being brewed at 5% Carlsberg Export for the UK market, the taste is average with no flavour just a bog standard lager, however it is drinkable on a townie night out for example
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 JLCreemers (8) - BELGIUM - MAR 22, 2010 does not count
Contrary to many, I like this beer for its simplicity. It is indeed not a complex beer, but a good beer for a hot day, when you just want to cool down.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Stellaaaa (213) - Tennessee, USA - MAR 20, 2010
Pours a clear yellow with a thick white head. It has a mild aroma of grassy malt and tastes, likewise, of grassy malt. It is a very nondescript, lowest-common-denominator beer. It has no obvious defects, but nothing praiseworthy either. Overall, a very bland, mediocre beer.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 FreshHawk (596) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - MAR 15, 2010
Can.
A - Light straw yellow color with a large foamy white head. Decent retention.
S - Grainy, sweet corn smell with light hops.
T - Fairly light and clean. Good amount of corn, adjunct lager. Some citrus hops but the hops have more bitterness than citrus. Slight metallic and mineral taste.
M - Light, crisp, and somewhat drying.
D - Decent drinkability. Like the rest of the style it is easy to drink a lot and the flavor isn’t offensive, but it isn’t great. A bit less sweet, corn adjunct than others.
Notes: The slogan is "Probably the best lager in the world." This definitely isn’t true for me at least, but as far as similar beers go, this is pretty good. If you are in a place with limited beer selection, this isn’t a bad choice.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 tkrjukoff (2284) - SWEDEN - MAR 13, 2010
Typical Carlsberg, nothing to cheer about. Good for a lunch, but definately nothing for a tasting avent.
2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 BrewingFan (251) - Texas, USA - MAR 6, 2010
Aroma of sourness, with maybe some grassy notes. Doesn’t taste as bad as it smells, which is a very good thing. Clean, crisp, with a good hop bitterness that does give this beer something.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Tonkun (171) - New York, USA - MAR 5, 2010
Draft. Golden pour with thin head. Grain and corn. Crisp finish. Not bad but not exciting.
