COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

This reddish yellow lager poured with a frothy white head that quickly dissipated and a floral aroma. There is a flat skunky flavor with some bitterness at the finish.

Draught as Carlsberg Export @ The Papermill A.K.A. Paperchase, EC2. Typical grainy malt, metallic hop pub swill, immortalized as fizzy piss by Tom at The Wenlock. Has replaced Kronenbourg as my weekly fizzy (pale) yellow lunchtime beer when I’m out with my work mates, so from one Carlsberg brew to the next it seems. Apparently, so good the Danes hate to see it leave, I think it’s more out of embarrassment myself...although I still regret not having one at the pub adjacent to the brewery during EBF.

Bottle from the famed around the world multipack from my sister. Clear yellow with small, creamy, long lasting white head appearance. Aroma of corn and yeast and some hops, all very light though. Flavor is light lager with some malt backbone, hops as well, actually not all that bad. Creamy medium body. This is better than some of the others that ive been tasting but stephanie says "i can’t drink any more of these corny lager."

Obviously so mass produced this lager is everywhere. There really is nothing good to say about Carlsberg. Ive never wanted more than 2 pints before.

Mild hoppy nose with hints of citrus. Sweet aromas. A pale yellow appearance with a rocky white head that disappears. Flavours of weak hops and malt, some bitterness. Virtually no aftertaste. The only really good thing is that its extremely easy to drink, and refreshing when cold. Probably not the best beer in the world.

porterhouse (1481) - Alna, Maine, USA - DEC 23, 2008
Pours clear light gold with a couple fingers of white head. Light aroma is sweetish and malty - sort of honey, caramel and hay. Not bad. Mouthfeel is light but at least a hint of texture. Fairly smooth, at least none of the prickly, dry feel of many PLs. Light, webby lacing. Flavor shows a light malt presence - honey/caramel/hay and even a bit of smokiness toward finish. Very light hoppy bite overlays and provides a hint of a pinch in finish. Overall fair mass-produced PL. 330 ml bottle from Rum Runner.

Poured cleam golden amber with thin carbonated head Nice sweet malt aroma. Highly carbonated, spicey corn taste. Bitter metallic fiinish.

330 mL. Pours a pale yellow with high carbonation and an acceptable white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grass, faint hops. Flavor is slight dry and sour with a bit of mild hops. Overall not a bad macro.
