PWalk (332), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 11, 2007 Pretty standard pale lager. Translucent gold in the glass with a minimal white froth for a head. It has slightly hoppier on the palate than similar brews. Hard to believe it took me this long to ever drink one.
rkuhnel (1064), Eureka, California, USA Aug 20, 2008 Poured clear gold. White foamy head. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor of malts and light hos. Not much finish. Pretty ordinary. Maverick34 (439), New York, USA Aug 16, 2008 Well I can’t believe I have never rated this yet.....hey it’s carlsberg everybody. At least you aren’t drinking Heinken or Amstel, right? Steinface (63), Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 14, 2008 Why this is in the 11th percentile right now is beyond me. This is "the" English macro. Its more drinkable than our "King of Beers", but not by all that much. zootfinster (153), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 11, 2008 Back, many, many years ago, during my college days, Carlsberg was considered “a beer to die for” But then that’s when my every day beer was Atlas Prager and Lone Star.
This is a decent beer. A bit hoppy but quite drinkable. Pours a clear golden color. Certainly a much better choice then Heinekens. but not a really top beer.
