RB #1000, clearly a personal RB milestone. And this beer deserves to be amongst the first 1000 and it deserves this exact spot. Why? Well H.C. Andersen said "Herfra min verden går" (From here my world endeavours). This holds true for this exact beer and my beerworld as well. In the lack of diversity one "learns" to adapt and accept a beer like this as "what beer is". This isn’t bad, just the way Carlsberg over the years have excerted their attitude towards the Danish beerscene has been bad, they have improved. Their people are all talented brewers, they just happen to work in a company that has to sell in big quantities to sustain in a global market - therefore it becomes mainstream. But on a warm summerday this beer does exactly what it should and the product they produce is ALWAYS the same - fact. If one likes it or not is a point of opinion and not a question about fact.

Therefore this is my rating 1000, 999 beers before this that all have been one big adventure thanks to a lot of nice people and hopefully many more beers and nice ratebeerians to come. CHEERS!

Darn, I guess I have to rate the bloody beer:

33 cL can. Pours golden yellow with a huge chalk white and creamy head disappearing within the first 30 seconds but leaving some lacing. Corn and malty slight sweet aroma. Corn sweet flavoured. Mild bitterness into the finish. Straight forward lager. Solid

This is the taste of Denmark. Works best in a square in Copenhagen with a red sausage and bread. The taste is fresh, light and malty with faint hop notes.

Thanks to Seymour for this. Pours clear pale yellow with a small white head. The aroma has pale malt, phenolic spice, corn and cream. Fairly light body with soft carbonation for the style. The flavor starts off with pale malt and lots of peppery spice. The finish has some sourness added and a fruitiness that give it a sweet-tart flavor with mixing of the spices. Okay for the style.

Dieses Bier ist sehr Süffig und ein bisschen zu mild und wässrig. Schwacher Geschmack nach hopfen, dazu eine säuerliche note im Nachgeschmack. Da es sehr Süffig ist, ist es für Partys gut geeignet, doch sind die 5% alc. zu beachten, da es vorallem Leute die wenig Alkohol trinken wegen der wässrigkeit leicht unterschätzen könnten. Fazit: Mittelmäßig, ich hatte nur 5min was von diesem Bier (dann war´s schon leer), das ist zu wenig, vorallem in dieser Preisklasse. Nothing special from this beer. Tastes as if it is off, very grain/bread like with a strange bitter-sweet aftertaste that is generally quite unpleasant.

Bottle: Medium airy white head, disappears quick and leaves some islands floating on top of a clear yellow golden colored beer. Smell malts, hops, herbs, grass ish, typical smell. Everybody knows what it smells like. The taste is so very typical too; hops, malts, bitter, light herby… Light bitter grassy herby malty aftertaste. Medium carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, low to lightly medium body and a light watery texture. What a beer! Hehe…   ;-)

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours amber with about a finger of white head. Light aroma of some bready malt and floral hops. Taste is the same, lightly bitter. Medium-light bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. I would drink it again.

In lack of things to do I might as well live rate this one from Kastrup Copenhagen SAS lounge. Taped by my self into a completely standard milk-glass, this one pours a clear golden body with a small quickly fading white lager-head. It smells light grainy and malt sweet. The aroma is as standardized and macro-boring as they get, still no bad aromas. It tastes also quite grainy and dull. Sweet malty with a hint of watered down hops. Not much excitement pumping through my veins drinking this, and not my choice #1 on this national day of Norway, but in lack of alternatives the devil eats flies. Thank you, and farewell. 17.05.2012

Malty, dry, but not very many hops. Drinkable a nice if cold. Just another lager.

Awful, just awful. Lack of body, thin texture, very very poor head... Nothing I would ever recommend!
