Skidds (214), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 7, 2008 To me this is a very decent and drinkable lager beer. Very clean and smooth tasting with a good balance of hops, malts, grain, etc. This beer is a fine example of a beer Canadian and American macro brewers should aspire to as a minimum standard in how their lagers taste and the quality and care put into brewing them. We are not there yet.
hellbilly (940), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Nov 30, 2008 danish beer on tap at a british pub?... clear goldish yellow with a substantial soft white head... lots of lacing may be caused by a dirty glass. sweet fruity aroma with grassy hop notes, pale malt, faint spice and light pleasant skunk. the flavor is pretty much the same but with much more pronounced skunkiness. light spice and mild bitterness come before a clean crisp finish. medium bodied. carbonation keeps the palate clean for more beer... EFC1878 (134), Manchester, Greater Manchester, England Nov 29, 2008 Imported bottle. Doesn’t matter where you go or where you drink it, this is piss the world over. Bog-standard lager colour, thin head, insipid ’flavour’ and a nasty chemical aftertaste. If Carlsberg sponsored English football teams they’d sponsor the biggest bunch of gobshites known to man. They do? lithy (385), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 20, 2008 Clear yellow with a thin white head with nice lacing. Skunky green bottle pils aroma, dry malt, light hops. Taste is light malt with a decent body, good hoppiness and a lasting bitterness. Pinball (817), Allerĝd, Denmark Nov 19, 2008 rating#735 (i used to drink this a lot, so forgot to rate it when i started drinking beer).
clear yellow, nice white head,
aroma is mainly your typical macro lager, but i sense a little hops too. flavor is a little sourish, a little hoppy, sweet and faint bitterness in the end. not much taste. reasonable session beer. i sense a little fruit in there?? gary07734 (210), Tyne & Wear, England Nov 1, 2008 Clear yellow lager pour, plenty carbonation, ok head, taste is generic lager but with a decent dry crisp finish. Average lager really.
