COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously sold in the UK in gold coloured labels/cans as Carlsberg Export. The current UK Carlsberg Export is the same as the standard Carlsberg Export.

0,5 bottle 5% alc. Very popular beer in Europe but it is not good. Large corporation. Not the best. Soft sweety flavor. Hops less then average. Usual supermarket crap. I will never else buy it.

En meget flad pilsner. Smager ikke af meget, dog er kuldioxiden velfordelt.

It has pale colour, barely tasty and almost water. This beer does not estimule any sense or sensation. Anyway, It seems to be one of these beers to have very cold in a hot summer day though.

330ml bottle into glass. Slight sweet nose. Tiny flimsy head. Yellow with medium carbonation. Spritzy with a little malt then small tinny hop hit. Good clean finish. Refreshing if nothing else.

33cl bottle at home; Nordic Collection. Clear golden with a medium white head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Bitter with some sweet tones. Grain, malts, hay and some citrus. An ok pilsener.

Pours a pale lager yellow with a white head. Nose is faint cereal. Taste is weak malt, weak bitterness. Disappointing for a brewery with its history going back to Louis Pasteur and the beginning of the science of brewing. Oh, well. 11.2 oz ridiculous green bottle from a 12 pack poured in to a Carlsberg glass with laser etching on the outside bottom of the glass where it is useless (check the Budweiser glass where the etching is on the inside where it has a function),

Alengrin (2628) - BELGIUM - JAN 9, 2015
Tasted under its exported alias Carlsberg Copenhagen 1847 for this rating. White, medium thick, very sticky head leaving complex lacing on the edge of the glass; colour is a cristal clear pale golden blonde with steady sparkling. Aroma lightstruck as expected (green bottle!), minerally, grainy, with a strong iron presence and hints of white bread, cheese spread and a bit of grass. Sweetish malty and corny taste, slight sourish graininess, thinnish and metallic with sharpish, minerally carbonation; finish of grassy and herbal ’Euro’ hops, more so than usual in a ’macro lager’ and ensuring a medium long, dryish finish, a bit astringently chemical as well. "That calls for a Carlsberg"? Not really, but I have to admit I had worse in this style. To classify this as a genuine ’Pilsener’, though, seems a bit unjust if compared to the classic Bohemian and German Pilseners!
