COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Carlsberg Light is a light golden beer. The aroma is fresh and malty. The beer has a discreet sourness, a low alcohol content and a fine slim body. Carlsberg Light has lots of Pilsener flavour, but less alcohol. That makes Carlsberg Light the ideal lunch beer.

A pale yellow-golden beer with an average white head on top. Not very aromatic; some metal notes and faint dusty hops. Very light malt body. Fairly dry with a tight lemony acidity. Barely any hops to speak of. Skinny body. Diluted. Notes of lemony fruitiness in the finish.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is malts, grass, grains and some mild starch. Flavour is grass, bready malts, some grains and some mild earthy notes. Actually not all that bad for being only 2.7% abv.

Horrible name for a horrible beer. Quite fitting. Corn and grass in the aroma. The flavour is sweet and bread-like. Thin and almost undrinkable.

Aroma is not disagreeable, but not special either. Smells like fermented grains, some alcohol. Looks very average as well, pours with almost no head to speak of. Lots of bubbles going up, looks a lot like pop too. Has okay flavour for a light beer, strong malts flavour and not at all watery. Feels good on the mouth too. An above average light beer that actually tastes like beer, which isn’t a bad thing.

Bottle. Gold, with frothy head. Light, clean, and empty. Pretty much hits the mark in terms of light beers. Not offensive at least.

Bottle. Light and watery, yes, but they have managed to keep some of the flavour and hoppy crispness in this one. Tehre are far worse beers in the Carlsberg stable, even with much higher alcohol content.

Bottle at home. Clear yellow coloured with a medium sized white head. Aroma of malts, grain, hay and metal with notes of hops. Flavour of malts, metal and hops, but not much flavour. Watery. OK for a low alcohol.
