Many thanks for this can to McTapps. Clear yellow body with a low white head. Malty and a bit sweet, but the alcohol punches through too well.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Can ("thanks" to Henrik) - pours gold with white head. Heavy sweet malty, (very sweet) syrup, almost treacle like, chemical taste, grassy, rough boozy finish.

This a tough one. I mean, maybe every malt liquor is. Tough to say what it tasted like because it was more of sheep skin and alcohol. Unpleasant brew from first to last.

Can 50cl, from Henrik. A very sweet and barley sugar beer, near to a barley wine just less complex and mono dimensional. Low caramel notes, alcoholic, very sweet, just ok.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Can as "Carlsberg Elephant Extra Strong" to be aliased. Pours out in a clear, deep dark golden colour with very low head and very smooth body. Aroma of strong alcohol and sweetness. Taste of sweet hops, sugar, malt, bread and syrup. Very awful and hard finish with an high amount of sweetness. Not what I would call enjoyment.

The jump from the 7.2% variety may only be 3.3% but boy, can you tell. That said, it tastes far better than other beers of similar strength. Not sure what food accompaniments go best with it, as it isn’t often I buy it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to Toms, can from Copenhagen,
Heavy malty, yeasty dominant, reminds me of pungent Belgian strong ale, sugary, thick mouthfeel, close to full body, Although alcohol is not well hidden, this brew seems like have to be this way. Pours dark golden with fast, bubbly medium top, no to minimal lasing. I think it’s first sample of this style and I liked it. Like lager type Belgian yeasty ale. Intense flavour. Bitter is lesser companion in this brew but plays good ending role. Liked.

In India this beer is sold under the name Elephant Strong. Bottle 650 ml. In restaurant in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. Clear dark golden, thin white head, no lacing, weak nose, sweet malt aroma, bit bread, grainy, grass hops, alcohol, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, full body, oily feel, flat, bit more bitterness in the finish, one feels the alcohol quite good at the end. Nice beer when you wantet drunk quickly.
