Maria (4418), Thisted, Denmark Mar 17, 2007 Nice color and head, I am lead to think of an Belgian abbey by the aroma. The almost vinous flavour has notes of lilac, nuts and black currant and the finish is slightly bitter. If I had the possibility to choose I would reach for a authentic Belgian abbey ale in a heartbeat...
Fin (2357), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Sep 28, 2008 Picked this up from shop in Skagen. Had this outside Frank (Camper) in campsite at Radjberg Mile, Nr Skagen 18-09-08 Pours muddy brown with off white head. The alcohol feels quit warming in the belly some light banana flavours, pleasantly yeasty, quite tropical flavours at times but more than anything its the banana that I keep coming back to. Quack-Duck (1906), Bodensee, Germany Sep 21, 2008 bottle, thanks to Bochum! Brown colour, large beige head, very fruity nose with aromas of banana and chocolate. Banana and chocolate are predominant flavours throughout. Malty and sweet, with a touch of honey, and banana + chocolate evrywhere. Full-bodied and heavy beer to relish slowly. trapez (226), Hilleroed, Denmark Sep 14, 2008 Bottle. Brown, amber colour with beige head. Nice aroma with caramel and malt. Complex slighly bittersweet taste from the mixture with hops. Ole_R (1304), Oslo, Norway Jul 19, 2008 660 ml bottle. A hazy, reddish amber colored beer with a mediumsized lightly tanned head. Sweet perfumed, bubblegum-fruity aroma. Fruity and malty sweetness in the flavor, with notes of yeast and mild spices. Sugary, light sticky texture. Malts and sugar in the finish. A decent sweetheart, a bit out of balance. Mogwai (189), Askeby, Denmark Jul 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours a brown colour with a medium head. Aroma is caramel, malt, dried fruit. Flavor is sweet of malt. Good.
