RLB YEHA 05. Big thanks to Martin Engelsmann for shipping this over so we could all try it at Rich’s place. It was all Danish raters before we got our hands on this one. Pours a lightly cloudy medium to dark amber with a good lasting head. Aroma is pretty basic- standard crystal malts and some coriander upfront- light citrus and soem herbs in the back. Flavor is sweet but balanced out with some hops and spices. Light nuttiness and some hints of chocolate and other roasted malts. Finish is pretty nice but the body is a bit weak overall despite the higher abv.

660ml bottle. Caramel and liquorice aromas. Dark amber colour, some hazy. Medium body and sfot carbonation. Taste is sweet, caramel, some malty. Average sweet finish. Not a bad one.

Oxidierter dunkler Malzbeginn. Dabei verschwindet der oxidierte Eindruck nach und nach, die dunkle Malzigkeit wird intensiver, eine angenehme Süße ist dabei gegeben. Kräuternoten sind hinter der Süße vorhanden, das Bier wirkt ausgewogen und sehr weich. Zum Ende hin droht die Wässrigkeit, dann fängt sich das Bier aber und gibt süß-röstige Noten ab. Likörartig. UPDATED: FEB 2, 2012 Bottle. Pours semi-opaque reddish brown with small white head. Aroma is sweet malt, dough, cinnamon and hints of cloves and citrus. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter in good balance. Body is oily with good carbonation. Finish is long, dry and balanced sweet and bitter with lots of the above aromas.

Pour dark hazy amber, with a small off-white head.
Aroma is of malts, caramel, dark fruits.
The taste is quite sweet. Vinous and oily body, with a low amount of CO2.

Pours clear amber/deep brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, licorice and dried fruits. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Haze Brown. Small head. Sweet malty horney caramel aromas. No spices in my nose. Unbalanced sweet taste and finish. Just not my kind of brew prefer some bitter dryness....

A sweet alcoholic and spicy taste, almost like port. Nice dark colour with white head.

Bottle.....It pours clear dark amber with long lasting large tan head.... the aroma is dark fruits, lots of spices and roasted malts...... the flavor is coriander, barley, some alcohol, clove and cinnamon...... very nice.... and the taste of Christmas....... one of the best Danish x-mas beer brew....

Hazy amber color with fine yellowish head. Aroma is sweet and little fruity. Flavor is alcoholoic but, one one very good rich Christmas beer
