Carlsberg Semper Ardens Criollo Stout

Bottled. Deep ammbery brown colour with mediumsized beige fluffy head. Leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel malts, mild roasted notes as well as grass and some liquorice and chocolate. Flavour is quite much the same in a bit more complex way than the aroma. Pleasant to drink.

Flavor definitely had an aged profile, lots of good malty yum and roast. Some lactose sweetness, caramel with chocolate, hints of spices and dark sugar.

This 2003 vintage is courtesy of TheCheeseMan, thanks again Dan! It pours mahogany with tan head. The aroma is rich milk chocolate to go along with a thin ribbon of caramel. It smells a bit like a chocolate milk shake, YUM! The flavor is ushered in with one of the creamiest mouth feels I can remember. It brings in delicious notes of milk chocolate, some dark chocolate and creamy caramel. Wow, this has aged wonderfully and is tastes great.

Black with a low grey head. Sweet chocolate aroma with further notes of cafe latte. The flavour has lots of liquorice and cocoa. It is a bit thin and weak bodied though.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, roasted and caramel. Flavor is chocolate, roasted, coffee, malt. Good.

Bottle. Red dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is cacao, roasted, coffee. Flavour is cacao, hop, roasted, malt. Easy drinkable nice beer.
