Bottle at Århus Ølfestival 2008. Pours a dark brown with a very small offwhite had (looks a bit like a coke). The aroma is chocolate, nutty with sweet toffee. The flavour is quite sweet again with chocolate and toffee and a bit hazelnut.

yngwie (9188) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 1, 2008
Bottle at Århus Ølfestival. There’s a ruby glow in this almost black beer, and it’s topped by a nice, beige head. Alcohol, dried fruits, chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Warming, full-bodied, quite effervescent mouthfeel with flavors of dried fruit, roasted malt, coffee and hops. Quite alcoholic finish. Sure deserves a full release, not just a test batch for the festival. (080516)

Maria (8577) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUN 2, 2008
Brown/black with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of a slightly sour, roasted malt and hints of licorice. The flavour has sweetness, notes of candy sugar, a light sourness and sweet licorice. The sweetness is a bit too strong IMO.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2008 Botella. Gracias a Jesper. Was my Danish Carlsberg rating # 100... but turned to #99. Hazy deep dark brown colour. Smoky well roasted chocolate aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a good profound roastiness with dark chocolate, coffee and caramel.
