COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor's note: originally only a very limited release (at 5.5% ABV) in 2001 for the 100 best Danish restaurants. Re-released as a standard release in the Semper Ardens series 2008.

Weisse, a wheat beer with a touch of apple juice, is the fourth offering in the Semper Ardens range of hand-brewed beers from Carlsberg. The light-golden 5.5% abv wheat beer follows the Semper Ardens theme of offering traditional beers brewed to the highest standards, but with a contemporary twist.

Flaske fra tilbudshylla på Netto Nørrebro, siste sommerkveld på hytta: uklar kobber med ok skum. Aroma og smak av epler, tyggis, banan og nellik. Fin munnfylde og karbonering. Fruktig, lang ettersmak. Mye godt for kun en tikroning.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2014 #100 German Hefeweizen. From bottle at Copenhagen. Hazy brown/orange color with medium head. Aroma is coriander. Flavor is wheat and coriander.

Rated as the new ½ liter version, 4.8% abv. Light amber coloured and almost clear. Has a white head. Fruity, light spicy aroma, notes of malts and light bread. Flavor is mainly sweet. Creamy texture.

50 cl bottle @ home. Aroma of sweet wheat, bananas, hint of something sharp. Tiny sour. Hazy amber with white head, which quickly fades into virtually nothing. Little sour taste, light+ sweetness, light bitterness. Finish is a bit bitter. Body is medium. Texture is oily. Average+ carbonation.

Bottle, 50cl. Pours cloudy, hazy orange colour with moderate off-white head. Aroma is sweet, wheat, banana, fruits and yeast. Flavour is floral, wheat, yeast and sweet banana. Little citrus. As expected. Its quite fine, but nothing special for the type. Body light-medium, to the watery side. Average.

660ml bottle, source unknown (somewhere in Denmark), tasted on 3 January 2010. Slightly hazy gold colour. Some wheaty, estery fruit notes in the aroma. Somewhat sweet mouthfeel. Decent enough effort.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Sweet fruityness along with some yeast and wheat. Flavour is fruity, wheaty and slightly grassy along with some herbal notes. Pleasant wheat, but nothing extraordinary.
