1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Well.. since I was on vacation and the only thing they had was this beer I thought let’s give it a fair chance. Served in Duvel glass, from black can. I think the beer means Black Gold in English, funny. Absolutely ok appearance with mostly diminishing amber-yellow body with heavy dosage carbonation. Nose was hay and straw with light tones of citrus, corn, lemon and a soapy feel to it. Not that much aroma at all actually. The taste was watery, one dimensional, thin bodied, harsh and unbalanced bitterness with an unsophisticated and unfriendly long sticky aftertaste. Overall a metallic and mass produced feel over this one. This one did upset me both mentally and physically. I couldn’t finish the can and I had a really bad aftertaste for a long time in my mouth. Pointless and pretty dreadful. Best beer in the world, yeah right. Insulting. Cheers.

Can. Crisp but tastes a lot of alchol and has an unpleasant marzipan like bitterness. OK

The very famous black gold has a nice foam, however fast disappearing again. Its clear golden color is welcoming and the aroma is floral, hoppy and slightly perfumed. The taste is rich and round. It has a good hoppy balance, but the aftertaste is partially dry and tame. The flowers lurking in the background and provides the pleasant round softness in the beer.

330ml can poured into a lager glass. Appearance is clear pale golden with a large off-white frothy head, that reduced quickly leaving a little lacing. Aroma of grass and grains. Flavours of grains, bread and citrus. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Palate is light bodied, thin texture and average carbonation. Carlsberg Sort Guld is okay but generic.

SB Oskarshamn, burk. Luktlös med fint småbubbligt skum. Inte så taskig smak. Bättre än Åbro byggmästarens förvisso lågt liggande ribba.

Kedelig øl. Ikke mange smags nuancer, forsvinder hurtigt ud af munden igen.
