COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Carlsberg Sort Guld has a thick, white head and a clear, deep golden appearance, with a fair amount of carbonation streaming up and splotchy lacing left behind. The aroma is faint, but some bread smell can be picked up. Taste is also bread oriented and sweet, but a little hop bitterness is present to round it out. Mouthfeel is medium, and Carlsberg Sort Guld finishes refreshing and mostly dry. Overall, I really enjoyed this (10 oz. can) beer and recommend giving it a chance. RJT

Carlsberg sells this in Denmark as a premium beer with a higher alcoholic strength than their standard lager. The taste is slightly sour and bitterness is more pronounced.
