Bottle in KL. Nice malty beer. Aromas of honey, caramel, some butter, alcohol. Taste is sweet, spicy, long lasting. Velvety and lively. Amber, with a frothy head.

500ml can at 9% ABV. Beer of choice for the park bench brigade, with the emphasis on alcohol rather than flavour. But actually it’s not to bad - an attractive golden amber colour, white head; light malty taste; some damp cardboard, then warming alcohol with a slightly rough finish.

Tallboy from a shop in Earl’s Court. Pours orange/gold with transient bubbles. Aroma is malty? Med + body. Flavor is not too bad - no fusil oils. So it is drinkable without nausea. However, it’s really just alcohol. There’s no significant malt flavor, and same for hop. Wonder what Winston thought of it.

Uninspired lager bought for its strong quick effects more than its taste. Has all the character of Carlsberg, golden carbonated and no head with a similar aroma, but a clearly stronger brew.

Typisch industriell hochgebrautes Zeug a la Faxe Strong. Industrie in der Nase, im Geschmack und oben drauf eine heftige Alkoholnote. Wenn es das fünfte des Abends ist und schön knallt, dann sicher eine geile Nummer. Aber als Starter echt heftig.

Can. Pours in in a deep gold and steady but low head and medium body. Taste of low malt, strong alcohol, cereals and mild fruits. Though it has such a high alcohol %, it is just dull and boring. Didn’t enjoy it.

325ml can at abv of 8.6 %. Golden colour; Small head and thin white foam which dissipates in 30 seconds. Minimal lacing and low carbonation. Smell of malt, grass and cardboard. Very strong sweet taste of malt, corn, lemon and hops. Medium to full body. Hop bitterness low to medium, with an uneasy sweet and then a sharp bitter finish, give me the feeling of they try to outdo each other. Alcohol taste is muted but kicks in very fast (after about 5 minutes). Dry after taste, fairly easy to mouth.
Comments: This is pretty low quality for a strong pale lager - faint smell with over and unbalanced taste in sweetness and bitterness, and an uncontrollable booziness which come too fast too soon. Overall not enjoyable. If getting stoned in a hurry is what you want then this is it. If you are looking for quality strong lager, better look elsewhere.
