Pours deep nutty brown with a big, creamy cappucino brown head. Good duration and nice lacing. Aroma is softly sweet, light dark chocolate, softly roasted, some dried fruitiness and light coffee notes. Quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly peppery at first, some good, fat chocolate, a very nice note of smoke and again this dried fruit. The fruity notes seem slightly like off-flavours in such, an otherwise, composed brew.

May 11, 2008 On tap at Ølbaren, Copenhagen. Black color, lovely brown head. Aroma is sweet, with roasted malt, chocolate, coffee. Flavor is roasted malt, sweet chocolate, dark fruits, coffee and nice bitterness. A lovely porter.

May 5, 2008 Draught at ØLbaren. Black - brown head. Chocolate, licorice, peppermint, polet lakridser, milkey, lactose, high sweetness, metallic notes, burns and dryes out the gums. A bit wierd. Soft body.

May 4, 2008 [Draught @ Ølbaren] Black with huge brown head. Sweet aroma with notes of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and liquerice. Flavor is sweet and rather full bodied with notes of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and liquerice. Creamy mouthfeel with a slightly bitter end.

May 2, 2008 Draught. Pitch black colour with a nice big and steady creamy light brown well lasting head leaving a good lacing. Aroma of alcohol, roasted malt, chocolate and some dark fruits. Quite good soft mouthfeel. The flavour has roasted malt and caramel, chocolate, some liquorice and dark fruits, mild spiciness and smoke. A ggod porter though it is a bit young. Storing it would only be better.

May 2, 2008 From tap at Ølbaren. Pours black and with a dense creamy brown head. Light chocolate and roasted malt aroma. Smooth chocolate flavour with a following liqourice note. Ends with a nice chocolate malt flavour. Nice and sweet chocolate dense brew. I lack some complexity here, somewhat ’too’ clean and almost one dimensional, but certainly tasty.
