1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 pintbypint (1479) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 7, 2009
375ml clear bottle. Light gold colour, holds a small white head. Dusty, grainy malt aroma. Flavour is quite grainy, one dimensional. Mineral finish. Dry, light bodied, medium carbonation. Surprised to find that there were no off flavours or skunkiness from the clear bottle, rather what I got was something bland. Tastes pretty industrial /manufactured. Glad I found a single.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Snegurochka (150) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 6, 2009
Golden, white fizzy head, lively carbonated. Smell of citrus fruit. Taste of unripe pineapples, sour green apples and lemon peel. Fortunately I shared the 375 ml bottle at the second beer session in Tårnrommet 29.01.09, and didn’t have to drink a lot of it.
0.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 Allen (2393) - SWITZERLAND - SEP 6, 2009
Bottled 375ml. Appearance: It pours a pale golden beer with a huge white head. poor sticky spotted lacework. Aroma: Glue, sour apples and cardboard appearing. Flavor and palate: A huge amount of old socks, sour apples and vomit showing up. Sweet malty. Metallic. No bitterness and carbonation. Astringent on the swallow. Unplesant finish. Overall impression. This is an extremely poor pale lager. Almost undrinkable.
0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Dervock (301) - Emu plains, AUSTRALIA - SEP 2, 2009
Bottle - initial pour looks OK, but there is something weird with the head that makes it look plastic, especially as it goes down the glass. No real flavours or arom. Gets really harsh as the chill comes off.
