COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Carlton Cold was launched in 1993 and enjoys a significant share of the packaged full-strength beer segment. Cold is produced with a cold-filtration process, pioneered in Australia by Carlton & United Breweries and is also the first beer in Australia to be packaged in clear glass and the only beer packaged in unbreakable PET bottles.

Yobbo beer made to be drunk stone cold and fast - devoid of any real experience, only for the brain dead.

375ml bottle. Looks okay when poured , golden amber in colour with a strip of white foam on top. Bland aroma with nothing at all coming though except hops. Heavy bitter flavour and strong acrid aftertaste.

Aroma of chemicals. Taste of shitty bitter chemicals. Nasty aftertaste of bitter chemicals. Typical shitty CUB swill, but at least it’s cheap and doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not.

Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is pale golden. Aroma and taste are malt, hops and straw. Weak but refreshing.

Had this one during my holiday in Australia april/may 2009. Golden colored brew. Sweet, less carbonation then regular Carlton. Watery, crisp. Dull beer. Drink cold, very cold.

Crap. How many more characters do I have to include in this? Dumped out gold with lots of large carbonation and a large vanishing white rocky head. Aroma was ick - wet cardboard and maybe the slightest grain. Did that part pretty quick. Taste was almost non-exisant and what was there was soapy, maybe some bitter hop (maybe) and old bottle caps and a touch of sweetness...and that’s all maybes. Mouthfeel was bearable - lots of carbonation, very empty and thin. A terribly weak and bland beer. Never again.

375 ml bottle. Golden straw colour. Medium-sized fine-laced white head that clings to the glass. Sugary malt aroma with notes of wet paper. Smooth texture and a soft carbonation. The body is light and the softness is cut by crisp hop bitterness in the finish. Watery. A beer that has been stripped by most flavours, except for some residual simple sugars. Rather tiring to drink by my palate. I’d rather have something that tastes pleasant.
