1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 Marko (2977) - Split, CROATIA - OCT 15, 2007
Bottle courtesy of and shared with ozujsko (thanks!) Poured a dark golden colour with a medium to small white head that went away slowly. The nose is cardboardy, with weak weak notes of cocoa and malt. The taste is empty as expected, with notes of malt and a touch of alcohol. Had worse, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is crap.

The third worst thing you can do with Carlton Cold (after buying it and opening a bottle) is to let it warm up. Let me say this: there is/was a ‘beer’ in the UK called Kaliber. It contained no alcohol. It was advertised by famous ex-soak Billy Connolly, a man I admire, but that didn’t stop it tasting like the juice from a can of peas. Carlton Cold is the Australian equivalent, but with alcohol.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 oh6gdx (15510) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUL 27, 2007
Bottled. Pale yellow colour with not very much head. Aroma is only weak malts and hops and the same pretty much goes for the flavour. Very non-saying beer, which mainly is watery and boring. No real unclean notes in it though.

375 mm clear bottle - Pale yellow with a very thin white head. Thin bodied with medium carbonation. Weak, watery, and sickly!
1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 jkm (209) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 17, 2007
Pale yellow/gold in colour with average to high carbonation and a small frothy white head which disappears rapidly. Watery and tasteless although it does leave an odd and rather unpleasant metalic/artifcial aftertaste. Overall bland and too watery...Came in a clear 375ml glass bottle.

Clear bottle. Clear golden colour. Weak malty aroma. Waterish mouthfeel The flavour is fresh and crisp with a bit maltiness ending with a dry finish. Good on a hot day when at a barbey and that’s all!
