COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Carlton Cold was launched in 1993 and enjoys a significant share of the packaged full-strength beer segment. Cold is produced with a cold-filtration process, pioneered in Australia by Carlton & United Breweries and is also the first beer in Australia to be packaged in clear glass and the only beer packaged in unbreakable PET bottles.

Golden in a clear bottle.Hardly any flavour and a complete waste of time. Why does any one wish to drink this. Never again.

Looks good in a clear bottle but has no distinct flavour. Like the crown, it looks better then it tastes

Not a bad beer but not a great one either, a little on the sweet side but a good tasting budget beer, a very popular Premium beer when it first came out but the mob has turned it’s back on Coldies, I reckon its still a good beer even better now that its cheap!

Bottle thanks to Countbeer. Big rough white head on top of a clear yellow colored beer. Smell almost nothing, just a little malts. Taste malts and some sourness. Low carbo, low body.

Dark yellow, urine type colouring with a thick frothy white head. Very light carbonated, chemical type of aroma. Bitter, but unoffensive. Nothing special with this brew, except they go down well after a long hot day at work.

Biggish offwhite lasting head leaves coarse lacing. Pale amber body. Apple malts aroma with buttery notes. Sweetish-dryish buttery apple malts taste with strong paper notes. Smooth, clean mouthfeel. Fullish body. Dry papery aftertaste with apple notes. Perfect if you love eating buttered apple with a side helping of toilet paper. If you~re like me, however, you~re likely to find that this makes for a three-way clash of incompatible tastes. Drainpour. [0.375l bottle, Lørenskog Brus Shop, Oslo.]

not a bad beer, nice and cheap. does the job when you wanna get schmacco. It has a smart paper sticker over the top of the cap so it doesnt cut your hands when you twist the top off. Leaves you with a bad feeling the next morning.

pale straw when poured into glass, white head which diddipates quickly, light malt and hop flavor, very uninteresting beer.

Quite often I’ve found myself at outdoor events where the only beers available are Cold and VB. Though I don’t think much of Carlton Cold (especially out of the plastic bottles it is sold in at these events) it beats VB hands down.
