yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 15, 2008 37.5 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a creamy white head. Light malt and corn aroma. Flavour is medium sweet corn with a light bitterness. Ends with a mild bitterness and a light alcohol note.
ChristianScheffel (2200), Odense, Denmark Oct 2, 2008 Golden with a small white head. Grainy malt and a touch of spicy hops in the aroma. Sweet and thin grainy flavour. ofey (29), Doncaster, Australia Sep 28, 2008 Probably the best beer here in Victoria. It doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s hopeless on a world scale but if we want to rate it amongst the local mass produced(1) sh*t, this one takes the prize.
1. when compared against Carlton Draught, VB, MB and XXXX. Dredd (364), Ormond, Australia Sep 27, 2008 Just don’t know how it can make the claim "finest beer". but marketing rubbish to one side, this has taken a while to review and only because there were some leftovers from a recent party. Aroma is skunky, appearence is gold straw with trademark CUB Chemical head. Flavour is a mix of corn sweetness, cardboard and abrupt POR bitterness. iammarc (179), Inverness, Scotland Aug 13, 2008 Bottle, yellowish pale colour, thin lacing, watery, a bit malty, slighty sweetish, strong in alcohol volume but this is certainly not mirrored in taste. Poor. Pinball (587), Allerød, Denmark Jul 25, 2008 Updated: Aug 31, 2008aroma sort of boring, but relatively strong.
looks real great, clear yellow with nice smallish white head, looks refreshing
flavor is a slight sour, and generally boring - thirst quencher, but far from the best, also a little watery (should not be at 4.9%)
another version:
aroma like cheap beer, sunburned beer.
poured clear yellow with very large and thick head for a macro. flavor was sweet and dry, sweetness subtle and good balance for the bitterness (from hops i think) flavor 6 or 7. palate 3 (nice and soft) overall 11.
