Sampled on Flashy’s tour of LA, New Zealand and Hong Kong of September/October 2007 - Pretty standard Aussie lager. Nothing special, but beats Foster’s.

Bottle. Your stock standard run of the mill pale lager and any other cliche you can think of, but it will do the drink on a hot summer day.

12/V/2012 - 37.5cl bottle @ Joyce’s place - BB: 11/V/12 (2012-488) Thanks to Thomas and Annelies for the bottle!

Clear orange beer, very small irregular white head, unstable, pretty adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet corn, some sugar, some sweet fruits. MF: soft carbon, light body. Taste: grains, some malts, little sweet, little bit of hops. Aftertaste: grassy, pretty crisp, long lasting bitterness.

larsga (4661) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 23, 2012
Clear coppery body with light carbonation. Thin white head quickly disappears. Faint sugary fruity aroma with caramel notes. Dry-sweet papery grainy taste with faint resiny notes. Mid-to-light body. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish grassy aftertaste turns into dusty papery dandelion finish. It’s all right, but too sweet and bland. (0.375l bottle, CitySuper IFC, Central, Hong Kong.)

Bottle from Booths, Windermere. As a UK drinker I am limited in which Aussie beers I can get my hands on so I bought this in order to tick Australia off the list without resorting to Fosters. This is the predictable clear amber but in its favour it has a creamy head which sticks around. Nice lacing for a bottled lager. That’s where the plus points end: this is totally devoid of all flavour and lacking aroma, except a hint of bread. Slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Very disappointing after the earlier promising appearance.

Bottle. Boring. Aroma is lightly floral, and taste is sweet, with some bitterness at the end. Thin and watery in the palate. Yellow colour, head is fizzy and disappears.
